Youth Chamber choir OHANA with conductor Dimitar Kostantsaliev was nominated and won the award in the category “Ensemble of the Year” by the Bulgarian National Radio!
The nominees were selected among 92 valid proposals from listeners by a specialized jury consisting of: Prof. Plamen Djurov – conductor, composer and pedagogue, Prof. Sava Dimitrov – rector of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, Petar Dimov – music producer at the Bulgarian National Radio, Lilia Goleminova – music journalist and presenter at Radio “Sofia” and the music journalists and presenters of the program “Horizont” – Rositsa Kavaldzhieva, Tatyana Ivanova and Irena Gadeleva.
In the category “Ensemble of the Year” the nominees were: “ClassicArt”, Quarto, Assai, youth choir “Ohana” led by Dimitar Kostantsaliev, percussion duo Agleya Kaneva and Alexander Vichev, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio and the string quartet “Art & Shock”, “The Secret Orchestra”.
In 2025, the Youth Chamber Choir “Ohana” won two gold medals at the European Choir Games in the categories “Chamber Choirs” and “Sacred Music a Cappella”. The highest assessment of the authoritative jury also added the “Grand Prix of Nations” among chamber formations at the same forum.
