The “Rodina” – Sofia Medical Choir has returned from a successful participation in the “World Peace Choral Festival” in Vienna. The festival was held between 23.07 and 26.07.2026 in one of the most beautiful concert halls of the Austrian capital. The choir took third prize in competition with 21 choirs from all over the world – Philippines, Mexico, China, Cyprus, Italy. The categories in the competition part were divided only by age – youth ensembles and adults. The “Rodina” choir won the prestigious award – bronze distinction.
“Rodina” gave concerts in the best halls of Vienna – Musikverein, the City Hall, the UN building, the Mutt Hall and the St. Peter’s Church. A workshop with the conductor of the Vienna Boys’ Choir – Prof. Baumgartner – was held in Strauss’s house, where the conductor gave invaluable advice to the Bulgarian choir.
In addition to the medical choir, the women’s choir “Trimontium” – Plovdiv also participated in the prestigious music forum.
