Two Asian countries, several prestigious international stages, three gold medals and two category victories – this is the balance after the visit of the vocal ensemble “Fortissimo” – Burgas in China and Japan.
Milena Dobreva’s wonderful singers took part in the 18th China International Chorus Festival – Elite Competition in Beijing and won a gold diploma, a statuette and first place in the “Folklore” category in competition with 360 choirs from 30 countries and regions. Here the ensemble was ranked among the 10 best ensembles in the competition, being the only choir outside of China.
During the visit to Beijing, “Fortissimo” also received an invitation to participate in another prestigious choral event – The Water Chorus Festival. The event takes place in the Tongzhou region and attracts over 30,000 live audiences and more than 100 million viewers online.
The winning streak continued in Japan. There, Burgas residents took part in the 8th Tokyo International Choir Competition, after passing a preliminary selection. Here too, the Bulgarian talents won a Golden Diploma in the “Youth Choirs” category and took victory in the “Folklore” category. 50 formations from 7 countries took part in the choir competition, and “Fortissimo” was the only European representative among the finalists on stage.
