
Folklore Vocal Ensemble “Broenitsa” was awarded a prestigious award at the first edition of the national festival “With Songs and Dances under Vitosha”, held on February 21, 2026. in Sofia.
The ensemble won a Special Prize for high artistic mastery, and its conductor – a Prize for high professionalism, with which the jury testified recognition of the overall artistic concept, stylistic purity and stage culture of the ensemble.
Already with its first edition, the festival declared its ambition to become a significant national stage for the presentation of Bulgarian folk song and dance art. In this context, the awards for the FVA “Broenitsa” have a special value – they place the ensemble among the bright highlights of the new cultural forum.
In the participation of the FVA “Broenitsa”, the award-winner Daniel Ivanov highlighted the performance of “Are You a Tulip, Are You a Hyacinth” with its precise vocal technique, in-depth interpretation of the folklore material and modern stage presence, combining respect for tradition and lively creative thinking. The presented program was received with exceptional interest by the audience and highly appreciated by the professional jury in the person of Daniel Ivanov, Dora Hristova, Lilyana Galevska and the founder of the festival – Petar Kirilov. The awards are a well-deserved recognition for the work of the singers from the FVA “Broenitsa” and their conductor and artistic director Eleonora Hristova, as well as a serious request for the future development of the ensemble on the national stage.
