Crystal pound for “Fortissimo”

Vocal Ensemble “Fortissimo” Burgas with conductor Milena Dobreva is this year’s winner of the Crystal Lyre in the “Chorus Art” category!

The “Crystal Lyre” awards have been presented since 1997, at the initiative of “Cantus Firmus” EAD and the Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Artists (SBMTD). They are awarded annually for the highest achievements in the field of music and dance art and cover the past concert season or academic year. For 28 consecutive years, this award has already acquired the status of the most professional recognition that Bulgarian artists can receive in their field.

The achievements of the ensemble, which made them the undisputed winner in the category are:

Participation in the Panorama of Bulgarian Choral Art in February 2025 at the “Bulgaria” Hall;

Prize place in the categories “Youth Choirs” and “Folklore” and the received World Choir Cup in the International Choir Competition “Sing for Gold” – Calella and Barcelona, ​​Spain in October 2024.

In 2025, on the eve of the International Music Day, “Fortissimo” took part in the African Asia Pacific Choir Games & Grand Prix of Nations 2025. The event honored 53 selected choirs, representatives of 14 nations and 4 continents. There, the talented singers of Milena Dobreva again won the Grand Prix in the “Folklore” category and a gold medal in the “Chamber Choirs” category.
