The Folklore and Modernity Association organizes for another year the celebrations of folk choral art.
The festival “Festivals of Folk Choral Art – Plovdiv” aims to popularize folk choral music, to gather selected folk and school choirs from all over the country each year and to provide an opportunity for performers and conductors to perform in a genre that is not very popular in Bulgaria, as well as to popularize the composer’s work on a folklore basis.
• To stimulate the development of folk choral art in our country.
• To establish the level of folk choral art in Bulgaria, comparing it with the international one.
• To provoke the creation of new folk and school choirs.
• To give the opportunity to young people dedicated to folk choral art to communicate, share impressions, and establish creative and informal contacts with each other.
