The eleventh edition of the Christmas and New Year’s Song Festival will be held from December 11 to 13, 2026 in Haskovo.
Objectives of the event: to initiate the creation of new Bulgarian songs dedicated to the two holidays and/or winter; to provide a stage for the performance of Bulgarian choirs.
Significance of the event for the popularization of Bulgarian choral art and local artists and for the realization of cultural exchange with a sustainable effect: so far, over 35 new Bulgarian songs have been created for the festival, and over 750 performers have participated in it
The festival is organized by the OP “Youth Center” – Haskovo and the “Orpheus1977” association – Haskovo, with the support of the Municipality of Haskovo and the Bulgarian Choral Union.
Since 2024, the Bulgarian Choral Union has been presenting the “Award for the Best Performance of a Song Created Especially for the Festival”. The first laureate of the award was the Orpheus Children’s Choir – Haskovo, and in 2025 it was awarded to the Milka Stoeva Children’s Choir – Burgas
