Borislava Blagoeva

Born in Plovdiv, in a family of hereditary musicians. Her mother, Stefka Blagoeva, in 1975 created the emblem of the city of Plovdiv, the Plovdiv Boys’ Choir, which today is a choir school named after its founder as a sign of respect and honor. Borislava Blagoeva graduated from the “Dobrin Petkov” National Music and Drama Institute, then from the “AMTII” with a specialization in piano, conducting and music pedagogy, and also completed a specialized course for conductors with Prof. Vasil Arnaudov – Svishtov – 1988 and master classes with Assoc. Prof. Krikor Chetinyan and Krastin Nastev – Plovdiv, 2015-18. Since 1989, she has worked as a music teacher and conductor of the Preparatory Choir of the Plovdiv Boys’ Choir “St. Blagoeva” Since 2016 He also became the conductor of the children’s choir “Slava Ruseva” – at the Symphonic-Operetta Society “Mr. G. Atanasov, Pazardzhik. Since 2019, he has also led the Youth Choir of the Choir School, with which he has participated in many prestigious music festivals in Bulgaria, such as “Hosanna in the Heights” – Sofia, the 5th National Festival for Children and Youth Choirs – Varna, September 2023, the National Initiative of the Bulgarian and Youth Choirs “Bulgaria Sings”, the 6th, 7th, and 8th National Festival for Christmas and New Year’s Songs – Haskovo, the Aegean Sun International Festival – Marmaris, Turkey, October 2024
