One of the most successful Bulgarian choral formations – the ensemble “Fortissimo” from Burgas returned from a successful tour in Moscow. There, the ensemble took part in the Pan-Slavic celebration of May 24 – the Day of Slavic Writing. The singers of Milena Dobreva took part in a concert that took place in the “Church Cathedrals” hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The event was under the patronage of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia – Kirill and the Deputy Prime Minister for Tourism and Innovation of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The program included the State Symphony Orchestra “P.I. Tchaikovsky”, the State Academic Choir of Russia, the Academic Choir of the Belarusian Academy of Music, the State Ensemble “Pyatnitsky”, the Children’s Choir “Aurora”, as well as the soloists of the Bolshoi Theater Igor Morozov, Ildar Abdrazakov and Hibla Germzava.
Vocal ensemble “Fortissimo” performed two Bulgarian folk songs – “Are you a tulip, are you a hyacinth”, arr. Filip Kutev and “Ergen deda”, arr. Petar Lyondev.
The Bulgarian choir’s visit took place at the invitation of Rosconcert and the Ministry of Culture of Russia and their partnership with the Bulgarian Choral Union.
