Prestigious awards for children’s choir “Bodra Pesen” – Shumen

On June 14, in the Great Hall of the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 10th edition of the International Choir Championship “Lege Artis” Tuzla Choir Championship LegeArtis Tuzla ended.
For four days, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the performances of 17 choirs from 5 countries (Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The Choir “Bodra Pesen” participated in a number of events of the festival with various concert programs. The choir closed the First Festival Friendly Concert, in which 10 people participated, and the audience applauded its performances on its feet.
For the first time, the Shumen singers participated in three competitions in one day: in the categories “Children’s Choirs”, “Spiritual Music” and the Grand Prix of the competition. The exceptional energy of the children, faith in their abilities and enthusiasm allowed the choristers to endure the long day of competition.
But its end was especially happy for all of them:
in the category “Children’s Choirs” – winners with 97.78 points and winners of the First Highest Prize.
In the category “Spiritual Music” – again winners with 94.67 points and winners of the First Prize.
The choir was awarded the special prize for the best performance of a contemporary choral work for the performance of Mas of Joy by the Slovenian composer Ambrož Čopi.
Grand Prix “Golden Lyre” – the championship prize for the best choir of the competition!
