50 years of creative activity of conductor Plamen Georgiev

For half of his 50-year musical career, Plamen Georgiev has been a conductor in Bulgaria, and for the remaining 25 years – in Germany. Now the famous conductor from Ruse has prepared a special concert to celebrate his creative anniversary. For the anniversary, Maestro Georgiev received a congratulatory address from the Bulgarian Choral Union, of which he is a member.

The program included eight works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including five nocturnes. Mozart is Georgiev’s favorite composer, who says that he feels special pride in what he has achieved during his long career.

For Maestro Georgiev, one of the most famous Bulgarian conductors – Prof. Vasil Arnaudov – played a decisive role in his professional development. Seven years ago, Plamen Georgiev founded the “Sexaginta Prista” choir, with which he now invites people from Ruse to a concert-matinee.

The event took place on Sunday (June 8) at 11:15 a.m. at the Catholic Church “St. Paul of the Cross”. Classical music lovers had the opportunity to enjoy the performances of the choir under the direction of Plamen Georgiev.
