Julia Uzunova was born in 1993 in Smolyan, graduated from the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. Assen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv with a degree in “Pedagogy of Music Education” (Bachelor) with a special subject “piano” under Assoc. Malina Malinova and “Choral Conducting” (Master) in the class of Assoc. Prof. Geleva.
Julia is a winner of academic awards “Prof. Assen Diamandiev”, first prize winner of the 10th edition of the National Prize “Student of the Year” – category “Pedagogical Sciences”, first prize winner of the IV Student Competition for Conductors “Golden Baton” in Sofia. Shumen, winner of the “Young Conductor” prize at the Second Children’s Song Festival “Let’s Sing Together” in Shumen. “Best Young Teacher for 2020” in Svilengrad, Bulgaria. Plovdiv.
Since 2017 she has been part of the team of the choir “Children’s Kitka” at the Children’s Centre Plovdiv. Currently, she works as a conductor of a trainee choir and choirmaster of other choirs. He conducts many concerts with preparatory and trainee choir. As choirmaster he is proud of the gold medal of the concert band conducted by Jana Deliradeva at the 9th World Peace Choir Festival in Vienna in 2018.
He has participated in master classes for choral conductors under the direction of Maestro Krikor Chetianyan, Krastin Nastev, Frieder Bernius, Sergey Pavlov, as well as in master classes in classical singing led by Assoc. Lilia Ilieva.
As a chorister in the Academic Chamber Choir “Gaudeamus” with conductor prof. В. Geleva, she has been part of numerous tours, competitions, concerts and festivals.
Twice she took part with papers in the “Spring Scientific Readings”, which are held annually at AMTII “Prof. V. Gueleva”. Assen Diamandiev”.
At the moment she specializes in classical singing under Assoc. Lilia Ilieva and piano accompaniment under Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zornitsa Petrova at AMTII “Prof. Assen Diamandiev”.
Since 2021 she has been a full-time doctoral student in choral conducting at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. A. Diamandievich”. Assen Diamandiev”.
